6:00-6:30 Networking - Food & Drink Provided

6:30-6:45 Updates, current news & Q&A from DCC and AJA.  Bring your burning questions about FCP, AE, or anything else to see if we can get them answered. Jay Ignaszewski will be in house to answer questions.

6:45-7:15 Doug Hynes from AV3 Software will be back in his hometown to show you all the amazing application Get for Final Cut Pro. Get is an exciting new search tool for Final Cut Pro (FCP) users, providing a fast and accurate tool for locating footage based on the spoken dialog within your content. In addition to searching only Finder-level (file name, creation date etc.) and FCP metadata (column information within a project), Get introduces a powerful set of features that combine a unique spoken-word search with traditional methods of content identification. Once results are found and chosen, they can be quickly sent to Final Cut Pro for use in the editing process.

About Doug:

Doug Hynes is an accomplished Television & Film industry veteran. He was highly involved in the introduction of computerized, nonlinear editing systems to the film and television post production marketplace. A dedicated professional with successful track record in a variety of technical and non-technical roles and environments and an eye for detail and ear toward customer satisfaction are his strong points. Doug remains involved in this industry and peripherals (IT).  He enjoys working with creative individuals as it always brings a smile.

About Digital CONNtent Creators

Digital CONNtent Creators, the first and only digital desktop video and cinema post-production user group based in Connecticut, was established to build professional connections between editors, motion graphics artists, independent filmmakers, students, and video professionals who embrace the digital desktop media revolution.

DCC originated from the Connecticut Final Cut Pro User Group, which was founded in 2003 by Keith Larsen. In 2006, the group evolved to include a wider range of focus for production and post-production professionals using a variety of media. The organization strives to share ideas, creativity, and user concerns related to the use of both Macintosh and Windows-related software and provide interactive forums for end distribution of digital content for broadcast, broadband and DVD.

Now into its 8th year, DCC boasts over 500 members reflecting the diverse production community across the Northeast. In addition to remaining part of the Final Cut Pro User Group Network (FCPUG), DCC prides itself on also being an equally interactive forum for users of Avid, Adobe, Media 100 and more.
